10月のごあいさつ さあ、ミラノ、ストックホルム、イスタンブールへ

いつもANAにご搭乗いただきありがとうございます。
今年はゴールデンウィーク、夏休みと、多くの方が海外に出かけられました。「時は取り戻せない。今しかないから来ました」。ハワイでお客様から伺った言葉です。今、この瞬間の「行きたい！」を叶えるポジティブな思いに触れ、共感しました。
ANAはこの冬、新たにミラノ、ストックホルム、イスタンブールに就航します。今月はこの3都市の魅力を、私の独断でご紹介します。皆さまの「行きたい！」に加えていただければ嬉しいです。
ミラノ
12月3日から就航予定のミラノはファッションや美術のほか、経済都市として知られ、クリスマスの時期にはミラノらしいハイブランドのツリーも出現し、毎年人々を魅了しています。そんなミラノを一望できるのが、北西に広がるセンピオーネ公園にある「トッレ・ブランカ」という塔。ミラネーゼにもあまり知られていないこのタワーから、アルプス山脈や星をちりばめたような夜景を楽しむことができます。

私にとってミラノは、約30年前、関空ーミラノ線（1998年休止）の就航準備を担当した思い入れのある街。当時の空港事務所はコンクリートの打ちっぱなしに、扉だけが目の覚めるようなレモン色で、灰色とのコントラストが鮮やかでした。あらゆるところにこだわる美的センスに、さすがイタリアと感動したものです。
ストックホルム
次に、2025年1月31日から就航予定のストックホルム。水と自然の美しさはもちろん、家具や食器で有名な北欧デザインやESG先進都市として名高く、北欧への乗り継ぎ拠点として期待される街です。壁から椅子まですべて氷でできたアイスバーも楽しめます。

スウェーデンのサンタクロースは他の地域と少し違い、「トムテ」という現地の妖精をイメージさせる、グレーのセーターにとんがり帽を被った「可愛い小さなおじサンタ」です。ANAが就航する頃、クリスマスの大役を無事に終えたサンタクロースたちが、どこかで「ご苦労さん会」をしているのではと思わせる雰囲気が好きです。
イスタンブール
2025年2月12日から就航予定のイスタンブールは、「東西文化の交差点」として広く知られています。古くから栄えた街で歴史的遺産も多く、新しい体験や気づきに出会えること間違いなし。アヤソフィア、トプカプ宮殿、ブルーモスク、メドゥーサの青い目玉のお守り「ナザールボンジュウ」とたくさんの見どころや名物があります。

トルコ料理は、フランス、中国と並ぶ世界三大料理のひとつで、ピザやピラフの元祖はトルコともいわれています。様々な食材が織りなす、多様性に富んだ食の世界に魅了されます。イスタンブールでは何を食べても最高ですが、私のイチオシはサバサンド。フランスパンに、玉ねぎ、レタスと素朴なサバの塩焼きを挟み、レモンをたっぷりしぼってほおばります。見た目、発想、そのおいしさ、まさに「日本と西洋の食文化の融合」にWAO！でした。
今回新たな3路線が加わることで、ANAの欧州路線は9地点・週49便まで広がり、ますますヨーロッパが身近になります。乗り継ぎも便利になり、世界への扉が大きく開かれるこの冬。魅力がたくさん詰まった欧州の街角で、皆さまにお目にかかれますことを、社員一同楽しみにしています。

To Milan, Stockholm, and Istanbul
Thank you for flying with ANA.
This year, many people went abroad for Golden Week and summer vacation. A client visiting Hawaii told me, “I’ll never have this time back. I came here because it was now or never.” I was touched by their positive attitude and their get-up-and-go spirit.
This winter, ANA will be flying to Milan, Stockholm, and Istanbul. So, in this month’s issue, I’d like to introduce some of the things I personally find charming about these cities. I hope this inspires some get-up-and-go in you, too.
Milan
Services to Milan are scheduled to begin on December 3. This economic hub is also a cornerstone of the fashion and art worlds. During the Christmas season, flocks of tourists gather here to see the city’s famous high-end Christmas trees.
A tower called Torre Branca in Sempione Park in the northwestern part of the city offers a panoramic view of Milan. From this tower, which is little known to even residents of Milan, visitors can enjoy a night view of the Alps beneath a star-studded sky.
Milan holds a special place in my heart, as I worked on preparations for the launch of the route from Kansai International Airport to Milan (suspended in 1998) about 30 years ago. At that time, their airport office was all poured concrete, with the only color being the lemon-yellow doors, which contrasted vividly with the gray. I was impressed by the aesthetic sense that went into every aspect of the building, as stylish as one would expect from Italy.
Stockholm
Next, services to Stockholm are scheduled to begin on January 31, 2025. The city is famous not only for its waterways and natural beauty, but for Scandinavian design, which has birthed hugely popular furniture and other home goods. It’s also a leading ESG city, expected to become a central transit hub for all of Northern Europe. There’s even an ice bar here where everything, from the walls to the chairs, is made from ice.
The Swedish Santa Claus is a little different from his depiction in other parts of the world. He is modeled after a local sprite called Tomte. Wearing a gray sweater and a pointy hat, he’s an adorable, little gnome-like Santa.
ANA begins its service to Stockholm after Christmas, and I like thinking that somewhere near there, Santa Claus and his helpers will be having a party to celebrate their hard work over the holidays.
Istanbul
Services to Istanbul are scheduled to begin on February 12, 2025. Istanbul is widely known as the crossroads of Eastern and Western cultures. Having flourished for thousands of years, the city overflows with historical heritage, and you’re sure to encounter something new. Hagia Sophia, Topkapı Palace, the Blue Mosque, nazar blue eye amulets (also called Medusa’s or evil eyes), and many more treasures await you in Istanbul.
Turkish cuisine is one of the world’s three greatest cuisines, along with French and Chinese. In fact, Turkey is said to be the origin of pizza and rice pilaf. The variation on offer is truly staggering, as Turkish cuisine uses a wide variety of ingredients.
In Istanbul, anything you eat is bound to be delicious, but my personal favorite is balik ekmek (mackerel sandwich). Onion, lettuce, and a simple grilled mackerel on French bread with a squeeze of lemon. The appearance, taste, and concept are fantastic. It’s the perfect combination of a Japanese favorite, grilled fish, and a Western-style sandwich. Delicious!
With the addition of these three new routes, ANA’s European route network will expand to a total of nine destinations with 49 flights per week, bringing Europe even closer to Japan. With numerous connections available as well, this winter, the door to Europe will be wide open. All of us at ANA are looking forward to ushering you to cities all over the continent, each brimming with their own special charm.

开启米兰、斯德哥尔摩和伊斯坦布尔的旅程
感谢您一直以来搭乘全日空。
今年的黄金周和暑假期间，有很多人前往海外。“时光一去不复返，所以要来就趁现在。”这是在夏威夷时，一位客人告诉我的话。在萌生“想去”这一念头的当下便说走就走，这样积极的心境令我大受触动，深表同感。
今年冬天，全日空将新增飞往米兰、斯德哥尔摩和伊斯坦布尔的航班。出于个人坚持，本月我将向大家介绍这三座城市的魅力所在。如果大家能因此也萌生“想去”的念头，那我将不胜荣幸。
米兰
12月3日，米兰航线将开启首航。米兰不仅以其时尚和艺术而著称，也是一座知名的经济城市。圣诞节期间，米兰还会展示独具当地特色的高端品牌圣诞树，每年都会吸引众多目光。
在绵延西北部的森皮奥内公园中，有一座能够俯瞰米兰的塔楼，名叫“布兰卡塔”。站在这座米兰人也不太熟悉的塔上，您可以欣赏到阿尔卑斯山脉和宛如繁星点缀一般的夜景。
我对米兰有着特殊的情感，因为大约30年前，我曾负责关西国际机场-米兰航线（1998年停航）的开通筹备工作。当时的机场办公室全由混凝土浇筑而成，只有大门是醒目的柠檬色，与灰色形成了鲜明对比。面对这种讲究所有细节的审美品位，感动之余，我们只能承认，这就是意大利。
斯德哥尔摩
接下来要介绍的，是预计于2025年1月31日开始运营的斯德哥尔摩航线。除了水与自然之美，这座城市还因其在家具和餐具领域的北欧设计，以及作为ESG先进城市的地位而闻名，并有望成为通往北欧的交通枢纽。另外，从墙壁到椅子都由冰制成的“冰吧”也很值得体验。
瑞典的圣诞老人与其他地区略有不同，其形象源自于当地的精灵“Tomte”，穿着灰色的毛衣和尖顶帽，是“可爱的小个子圣诞老人”。
全日空航线开通的时候，圣诞老人们大概已经顺利完成重要使命，正在某处举办“庆功会”了吧，我很喜欢这样的氛围。
伊斯坦布尔
作为“东西文化的交汇点”，伊斯坦布尔拥有广泛的知名度，其航线预计于2025年2月12日开始运营。这座自古以来就繁荣发达的城市拥有许多历史遗产，一定能带来新的体验和启发。
这里有着许多景点和特产，包括圣索菲亚大教堂、托普卡帕宫殿、蓝色清真寺，以及又被称作美杜莎蓝眼的护身符“Nazar Boncuğu”等。
土耳其菜是与法国菜、中国菜并列的世界三大菜系之一，披萨和烩饭的鼻祖据说也是土耳其菜。不同食材在此交汇，丰富多彩的美食世界令人着迷。
在伊斯坦布尔，无论吃什么都美味至极，但我最推荐的还是青花鱼三明治。法式面包夹上洋葱、生菜和简单的盐烤青花鱼，挤上大量柠檬汁，然后再大快朵颐。外观，构思，还有美味，正是令人惊叹的“日本与西方饮食文化的交融”啊！
算上这次新增的3条航线，全日空欧洲航线已扩展到9个目的地和每周49个班次，欧洲变得愈发近在咫尺。这个冬天，转机将变得更为便捷，通向世界的大门已敞开。我们全体员工都期待，能够在充满魅力的欧洲街角与大家相见。
