12月のごあいさつ　良縁感謝

今年も残りわずかとなりました。この一年もまた、多くの皆さまに支えていただき、業績も復調に向かえましたことを、この場をお借りして心から感謝申し上げます。

人の流動が活発になった今年、祭りやフェス、スポーツイベントなどに沢山の人々が集まり、各地で久しぶりの盛り上がりを見せました。多くの方にとって今年ほど「人と人とのリアルな結びつき」の大切さを実感した年はなかったのではないでしょうか。ANAもそんな想いを強くした一年でした。

振り返れば今年の元日、「初日の出フライト」にご搭乗いただいたお客様に羽田空港の出発ゲートでご挨拶をしていると「応援しているから頑張りなさいよ！」と口々に激励の言葉をいただき、ご期待にお応えしたいと決意を新たにしました。いきなりお客様とのリアルな結びつきに感謝、人情の温かさとその喜びを感じた年始となりました。

8月の秋田竿燈まつりでは、35年にわたりずっとANAのロゴの入った提灯を上げてくださっている寺町二区町内会の集会所で行われた直会に参加させていただく機会を得ました。夏の夜、当日の演技を終えたばかりの、鉢巻に半纏の粋な出で立ちの皆さまと一緒に、賑やかに交わす語らいの楽しかったこと！地域の皆さまとつながれた素晴らしさに、しみじみと感じ入ったひと時でした。

10月の内定式では全職種総勢600人以上の若い力を迎えることができました。4年ぶりの客室乗務員の新卒採用を果たせたこともあり、その場にいた社員は皆「日常が戻った」ことを実感し気分も高揚していました。

内定者の皆さんの目の輝き、そして色紙に記した入社への意気込みはどれも素晴らしいものでした。中でも目に留まったのは「勇往邁進」と書かれた色紙。「勇往邁進」とは、「困難や障害があっても立ち向かい、志を持って勇敢に進んでいく」という意味です。厳しい状況にあったANAを敢えて選び、強い想いを持って入社してくれるこの若人たちと一緒なら、予測不能なこれからの時代もきっと乗り越えていけるでしょう。「内定式で一番嬉しそうだったのは井上さんだった」と言われましたが、将来のANAを託せる若い力との出会いを得たことが素直に嬉しかったからです。

そしてまた、世界とのつながりを強く感じた出来事もありました。アメリカの「アトランティック・カウンシル」は世界平和と国際安全保障に関する理解を促進し、世界経済の繁栄を目的に活動しているシンクタンクで、政治・経済・文化等の発展に世界規模で貢献した人物を「グローバル市民」として毎年表彰しています。当社は2012年からその共同議長を務めており、私は初めてその表彰式に出席しました。今年は岸田総理大臣、ウクライナのゼレンスキー大統領、ドイツのショルツ首相、米国のイエレン財務長官が表彰されました。世界の著名な政財界関係者650名が出席する中、当社の大橋相談役が共同議長として紹介され、万雷の拍手を受けた時、ANAが世界をつなぎ、人々の可能性を広げることに貢献したいという想いを益々強くしました。

この一年を通して、企業も個人もその成長を支える「根っこ」となるものは、さまざまなつながり、つまり「ご縁」ではないかと改めて実感しました。ANAは来年も日本や世界の皆さまとのご縁をさらに広げ、大事に深めながら、お客様がワクワクする世界を創り、ご期待にお応えしていきたいと思います。

今年も多くのお客様との良縁に感謝いたします。2024年も皆さまにとってさらに素晴らしい年になるよう、そして素敵なつながりがたくさん生まれる一年となるよう、心からお祈り申し上げます。どうぞ良い年をお迎えください。

Thankful for genuine connections worldwide

As we approach the end of the year, I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported ANA in 2023 as we endeavored to bring our global operations back on track. 

 In 2023, people across the globe finally began traveling again. After a long hiatus, tourism is now booming again as people travel for occasions such as festivals and sporting events. This year feels unprecedented, with so many of us renewing our appreciation for genuine connection between people. As a representative for ANA, I can say we all felt this way. 

 Looking back on 2023, I remember greeting passengers boarding our New Year’s Sunrise Flight at Haneda Airport on New Year’s Day. Many of them shared words of encouragement and support, and their words renewed my determination to exceed their expectations for ANA. I was overjoyed to begin the year with such warmth and kindness, and thankful for the deep connections we have made with our customers.

  Another standout memory was the Akita Kanto Festival in August. Some ten thousand paper lanterns light up the streets in this picturesque festival, held annually in the city of Akita. I was invited by a neighborhood association to a feast after the festival ended. This group has helped create lanterns featuring the ANA logo, and raised them at the festival for 35 years. I spent a wonderful summer evening talking with performers still decked out in their traditional costumes and headbands. It was a special opportunity indeed to meet with these members of the community.

 In October, ANA hosted a welcome ceremony for new hires with over 600 young people attending. For the first time in four years, we recruited new college and university graduates for cabin crew positions. ANA employees working at the event were in high spirits, feeling that normality had at last returned. The young attendees were also visibly excited, and we asked them to write a short personal message on a sheet of paper to express their aspirations for joining ANA. All the messages were a joy to read, but one that really caught my eye detailed “determination to keep pushing forward in the face of obstacles.” Alongside the young attendees, who all aspired to join ANA despite the difficult situation the airline industry was facing, I too found the courage to face uncertain times ahead. Someone told me I was the happiest person at the event, and it was true! I was absolutely delighted to meet so many young, talented people to lead ANA into the future.

 Also in 2023, I attended the Atlantic Council Global Citizen Awards ceremony, an annual event recognizing leading figures who have made international contributions to politics, economics and culture. The Atlantic Council is a US-based think tank that works to further understanding of international security and peace while promoting global economic prosperity. ANA has co-chaired the awards since 2012. This was my first time attending the ceremony, and it gave me a real sense of how strongly our world is connected. In 2023 the awards honored Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen. About 650 prominent political and business leaders from many countries attended, and when ANA’s Senior Advisor to the Board and Former Chairman Yoji Ohashi was introduced as co-chair, he received an enthusiastic round of applause. My desire for ANA to connect people around the world and enhance our common well-being grew even stronger.

  Over the past year, I have been reminded often of how the connections between us form the roots supporting healthy growth of both individuals and businesses. Next year, too, I hope ANA can deepen the bonds between people in Japan and around the world, while offering the exciting experiences and quality services that our passengers have come to expect. 

  We are profoundly grateful for the genuine connections we built with so many of you in 2023. I hope 2024 will be another wonderful year for everyone to forge new bonds and friendships.

感恩美好缘分

今年的日历很快将迎来最后一页。这一年期间，在各位的支持下，全日空的业绩开始恢复并重新走上正轨，我谨借这个机会向大家表示衷心的感谢。

今年以来，人流变得活跃，民间庆典、娱乐活动及体育赛事等都吸引了大量民众出行，各地呈现出久违的热闹景象。对于许多人来说，可能从来没有像今年这样意识到“人与人之间面对面的交流”有多么重要。对全日空而言，这一年也跟大家有着相同的感受。

回想起来，今年元旦，当我在羽田机场登机口迎接搭乘“元旦日出航班”的乘客并向大家恭贺新年时，乘客们纷纷给我鼓励的话语：“支持你们哦，好好加油！”这让我重新下定决心要好好回报各位的期待。我感恩与客户之间实实在在的纽带，也感受到人情的温暖和快乐，今年的新年就是在这样的心情里开始的。

8月的秋田竿灯节，我有幸受邀参加了在寺町二区自治会集会所举办的会议，在长达35年的时间里，该自治会坚持悬挂带有ANA标志的灯笼。夏夜，我和刚结束当天演出、额头上绑着发带、身穿传统日式上衣、意气风发的各位居民热烈交谈，别提有多开心了！那一刻，我感受到了能与当地社区建立深厚纽带是一件多么幸福的事。

在10月份的下届入职人员的内定仪式上，我们迎来了即将进入各个岗位的600多名年轻人。时隔4年，我们终于又开始录用新毕业生以培养空乘人员，在场的所有员工都真实感到“已经恢复正常”，大家都呈现出精神抖擞、干劲百倍的精神面貌。

预定入职的各位新人眼中闪烁着光芒，他们在彩纸上写下了入职的决心，这情景是那么美好。我注意到其中有一张纸上写着“勇往迈进”的字样。勇往迈进的意思是：即使遇到困难和障碍也毫不畏惧，要心怀大志、勇敢前进。即便全日空遇到过严峻的局面，但大家仍然勇敢地选择了我们，怀着强烈的决心加入公司，和这样的年轻人一起，哪怕未来不可预测，我们也一定能够克服困难。有人对我说：“井上先生是内定仪式上看起来最心花怒放的人”。我确实因为面对可以托付全日空未来的年轻人才而喜悦万分。

还有一件事让我感到与世界的紧密联系。美国大西洋理事会是一个致力于促进人们对世界和平与国际安全保障的理解、旨在实现世界经济繁荣的智库，每年向在全球范围对政治、经济、文化等发展做出贡献的个人授予“全球公民”的称号。本公司自2012年起一直担任该奖项的联合主席，我第一次参加了颁奖典礼。今年，岸田首相、乌克兰总统泽连斯基、德国总理肖尔茨和美国财政部长耶伦获此殊荣。在来自全球的650名政界与商界知名人士的见证下，本公司的顾问大桥作为联合主席获得了介绍，博得了雷鸣般的掌声，在那一刻，我更强烈地希望全日空连接世界。为拓展人们的潜力做出贡献。

这一年来，我再次认识到，不管是企业还是个人，支持其成长的“根”就是各种纽带，也可以说是“缘分”。明年，全日空将继续扩大和深化与日本及世界各地人们的缘分、珍惜缘分，与此同时，创造新的世界给我们的顾客带来开心、雀跃的感受，以回报各位的期待。

我们非常感恩今年与广大顾客拥有的美好缘分。我衷心祈祷2024年对大家而言成为更美好的一年，也成为诞生更多美好纽带的一年。谨祝各位迎来一个平安喜乐的新年。
